E-Ching Lee joined North Carolina Sea Grant in 2010. She writes and edits for Coastwatch and Sea Grant's website, and develops print and electronic outreach products for a wide variety of audiences.

From 2007 to 2010, she was an editor at RTI International in Research Triangle Park, where she worked on international development proposals and projects.

She was Sea Grant's 2006–2007 science communications fellow and earned honors from the N.C. Association of Government Information Officers.

Lee received a master's degree in technical communication from North Carolina State University, a master's in computer science from the University of Virginia and a bachelor's degree from Hanover College in Indiana.
