Reminder: Local Catch Seafood Summit Next Week
Contact: Posted Tuesday, February 14, 2012 The Local Catch Seafood Summit is scheduled for Feb. 22 at the Morehead City Train Depot. Join North Carolina Sea Grant and Saltwater Connections, a regional economic development initiative funded by the N.C. Rural Center, to discuss communication strategies for community-based, local-seafood educational organizations or catch groups. "The summit is about messaging and using the Internet and social media to tell the public about the many social and economic contributions the seafood industry makes to the citizens of North Carolina," says Barry Nash, Sea Grant seafood technology and marketing specialist.
