Workshops Set for 2012 Fishery Resource GrantsFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Posted Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011 The North Carolina Fishery Resource Grant Program (FRG) invites project proposals from members of fishing and research communities for 2012. Proposals should include North Carolina citizens actively engaged in commercial or recreational fishing, the charter boat industry, aquaculture/mariculture or the handling of seafood products. Projects are limited to two years. The FRG program is funded by the N.C. General Assembly and administered by North Carolina Sea Grant. Two-hour workshops will provide information on topics, eligibility and the application process. Applicants unable to attend a workshop must hold a pre-submission conference with a Sea Grant representative by phone, email or in person. The workshops will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on the following schedule:
