The Raleigh Sail and Power Squadron, the local squadron or chapter of the national organization, the United States Power Squadron, "Americas Boating Club", will hold its monthly meeting on Sept. 7. The Raleigh Squadron, which recently celebrated its 50th year as an organization, is a boating club comprised of power boaters, sail boaters and paddlers who boat on our local lakes and coastal areas. Each month they invite a guest speaker to discuss a topic of interest to their boating membership. The featured speaker for this meeting is Brian Efland, NC Sea Grant's marine conservation and enterprise development specialist.
