Dean John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship (Closed | View last year's press release) The National Sea Grant Fellows Program, named for John A. Knauss, one of Sea Grant's founders, provides a unique experience to students with an interest in national policy issues affecting ocean, coastal, and Great Lakes resources. NOAA Coastal Services Center's Coastal Management Fellowship (Closed | View last year's press release) The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Coastal Management Fellowship provides on-the-job education and training opportunities for post-graduate students in coastal resource management and policy, and provides specific technical assistance for state coastal resource management programs. Sea Grant/NOAA Fisheries Graduate Fellowship (Closed | View last year's press release) NOAA's National Sea Grant Office and NOAA Fisheries established a Graduate Fellowship Program in population dynamics and marine resource economics. North Carolina Sea Grant Fellowship in Marine Fisheries Management (Closed | View RFP) North Carolina Sea Grant offers this fellowship program to provide graduate students the chance to spend a year working with the N.C. Division of Marine Fisheries on a critical management topic facing important marine resources. Patterned after the Knauss Policy Fellowship, the North Carolina marine fisheries fellowship is based in Morehead City and includes a $28,000 stipend. North Carolina Sea Grant Science Communications Fellowship (Closed) North Carolina Sea Grant offers a one-year Science Communications Fellowship, open to applicants who are currently enrolled in a graduate program, or have graduated within the past year. Students earning degrees from North Carolina universities are eligible, as are North Carolina residents earning graduate degrees elsewhere. Learn more about the Science Communications Fellowship
Maritime Heritage Fellowship (Open) North Carolina Sea Grant and East Carolina University (ECU) offer this one-year, paid fellowship to graduate students at ECU interested in pursuing North Carolina maritime heritage projects that use archeological, anthropological, sociological, historical or other disciplinary approaches approved by the Proposal Selection Committee.
