NCSU Environmental Literacy Fact Sheet Hide by NCSU Dept of Forestry and Environmental Resources \| Publication # None \| Pages: 1 \| In 2012 researchers in the Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources at N.C. State University partnered with members of the N.C. Environmental Literacy Plan working group to study environmental literacy among N.C. middle school students. Students were assessed on the following environmental literacy components: knowledge, affect, cognitive skills, and behavior. North Carolina's Local Catch (DVD) Hide by UNC-TV and North Carolina Sea Grant \| Publication # UNC-SG-12-08 \| is a seafood documentary that chronicles various species from harvest to dealers, markets and restaurants. The documentary offers insight into the communities that supply an increasing demand for local seafood. Chefs and market owners offer tips to identify the freshest selections. The documentary is produced by UNC-TV and was funded by the N.C. Fishery Resource Grant Program, which is administered by North Carolina Sea Grant. The DVD is provided for private home viewing only. The documentary is also available to view online.
Purchasing Seafood: Answering Questions of Mercury in North Carolina-Caught Species Hide by Marc Turano, Derek Aday and Amy Freitag \| Publication # UNC-SG-BP-12-02 \| Pages: 2 \| provides data on mercury content in North Carolina-caught species.
